So you've done some short form improv, maybe been attending drop in for a while or completed L1 & 2 Beginners courses ... and you LOVE short form improv - right? You might want push your confidence and competence even further - heck maybe you'd like to create a performance team? And wouldn't that be ace! Well, here's the course to enhance your short form improv giving you confidence and skills to perform in public. This 8 week course will focus on a set of specific short form games - ones that we think are fantastic for shows AND technically challenging. And we will go through what it means to MC a show, which in itself is an essential skillset: how do you intro the games? How do you know when to edit? How do you interact with the audience and set the right tone? We will take you through the skills and pro-tips that will hone the technicalities of performance and transform your short form games into quick fired, focused, hilarious and confident scenes. Dates: Weds 11th May - Weds 29th June Time: 7-9pm Where: Liverpool Arts Bar, 22 Hope Street, L1 9BY Taught by Jen Hardy: Jen has been performing and teaching improv for 7 years and is associate teacher at Liverpool Comedy Improv. Having trained and performed in Birmingham she set up her long form team Wayward Souls performing throughout the UK. She is currently a member of Liverpool's all-women improv team Boss Birds, alongside LCI founder Emma Bird. There are no refunds or transfers unless at the discretion of LCI. However, LCI will refund or transfer you if you can no longer attend because you discover you are positive for Covid, or feel unwell and suspect you have Covid, or discover you have come into contact with someone who has tested positive. If LCI need to cancel a session you will be offered a refund. Please email LCI to inform us about any Covid related issue.
