This 6-week Introduction to Long Form Improv course is perfect for those who’ve got the “yes, and…” basics down and want to discover how to create deeper, more connected and satisfying improv scenes. This course explores a wide range of long form skills, practitioners and formats.
Ideal for those who’ve completed an introductory short form improv course, are curious about long form, or want to brush up old skills. This course will guide you through the essentials of long form techniques. From editing scenes with confidence to building believable characters, rich worlds, and stories that grow organically with every beat.
You’ll develop narrative flow, discover reoccurring themes, strengthen your object work, and learn how to create longer scenes collaboratively — all while keeping the fun, freedom, and unpredictability that makes improv so electric.
Get ready to stretch your improv muscles and tell stories that matter — one scene at a time.

A variety of long form formats such as a Montage, The Commando, The Slacker, Documentary.
This course is for you if you:
Have at least three months experience at LCI drop in (or elsewhere)
Have completed previous courses such as Beginners Levels 1/2/3
Want to level up your improv skills
Want to refresh your long form skills
Taught by LCI founder Emma Bird.
