Lisa Lynn, co-founder of Acaprov (The Improvised Acapella Musical) teaches musical improv (without instruments) across the UK and the world.
This one-day intensive is suitable for all levels: whether you’re an experienced performer or a complete beginner. If you want the fun and enjoyment of improvising music during your scenes and shows, this is the workshop for you.
In this a cappella beginners workshop you will learn how to be the music behind the lyrics; how to underscore any scene; and how to take musical improv to the next level!
Work on your beat-boxing, body-percussion, rap, dance, conducting and singing; add these to your improv and acting experience - and you have the 8 pillars of Acaprov: The Improvised A Cappella Musical.
The class is open to everyone, because even if you're a seasoned improviser, this is all new skills!
If you are not the most confident singer, worry not, pitching is not essential as non-singers can speak-sing, rap and do percussion to navigate the workshop playing to their strengths.
It’s a safe space. Above all else, improvising music and lyrics to enhance your improv scenes is SUPER FUN!
