The Oracle Weekend

The Absurdist’s Advantage

Turning Mistakes into Masterpieces

What if the thing that “went wrong” is actually the most interesting thing in the scene? Inspired by absurdist theatre & surrealism, The Absurdist’s Advantage invites improvisers into a creative space where mistakes, contradictions, non-sequiturs, and unexpected impulses become the raw material for original theatrical work.

About this workshop

Rather than correcting accidents or forcing scenes to make sense, participants will learn to trust the unexpected and follow discoveries wherever they lead.

Through playful exercises and ensemble exploration, we’ll create dreamlike worlds governed by emotional logic, uncover surprising patterns, and transform confusion into inspiration.

This workshop is for improvisers who want to expand beyond conventional storytelling, embrace uncertainty, and discover the freedom, creativity, and theatrical possibility that emerge when every mistake is treated as a masterpiece in progress.
